One on One Sessions
Addiction Care

A therapeutic session needs to be at least an hour long, this time period allows for the client and the therapist to get comfortable in the therapeutic space and to deal with the issues in a calm and slow fashion.

The cost of a session is R500-00 and if you are a medical aid member and your fund provides for counselling services you should be able to claim the cost back from your medical aid.

Sessions are paid for on the day of the session and at this point cash is the only method of payment.

It should be noted that I will offer sessions at reduced rate to clients that struggles financially but I then expect full commitment to the therapeutic process.

The fact that people struggling with addiction struggles to commit to treatment and services necessitates upfront payment of monthly sessions as non-attendance needs to be covered due to the fact that space within group sessions are limited.

Cost:

Level of care assessment:  R 500-00

Arranging for inpatient care if needed:  Free

Outpatient treatment services R2000-00 per month, this includes all group sessions, one on one sessions and family support sessions.

Aspects of these cost may be recovered from the medical aid, however currently medical aid provision is mostly linked to the cost of inpatient care.

As with one on one services, the costing can be negotiated with individuals that is suffering financial problems.

Why the Red Tulip?

My husband lives with Parkinson’s disease and the red tulip is a symbol associated with Parkinson’s awareness since 1980 when a Dutch horticulturalist who had PD developed a red and white tulip and named it "Dr. James Parkinson.”
